University Heights Plaza Days
UHC Plaza Days History, Mission & Vision:
The University Heights Center Plaza Days event was birthed as a blossoming concept to provide the community a pleasant and safe place to gather, recreate, embrace and enhance connections within the community. This event was created to provide, in essence, a “third place” for UHC tenants, building visitors, and community citizens visiting the district and University District Farmer’s Market. Our focus, for our food vendors, is on sustainability and emphasis is placed on healthy food and living. The University Heights Center Plaza Days event is held consecutive Saturdays throughout the fair weather season. Starting from the Saturday following the U District Street Fair and ending the Saturday prior Thanksgiving. Now in its fifth year, this community event includes prepared food vendors, live music, and a children’s playground. For future events, festivities may include artisan craft/trade vendors. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, (food or art) or would like to play at the event, please contact us at plaza [at] uhcca.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
Come and visit us!!!!!! Grab yourself a healthy lunch from our local, organic food vendors, sit down in the sunshine and enjoy the scenery and weekly live jazz music, and the little ones can enjoy our playground.
