Old Schools Still Teach!!

The University Heights Center is a not-for-profit community organization founded in 1989 by University District residents, who believed that this building would serve as the wonderful and vital gathering place for the community.

Constantly striving to provide and promote community programs, services and activities aimed at building a sense of neighborhood, UHCCA maintains the belief that “Old Schools Still Teach”, and fosters community in a historical setting.

Residing in one of the oldest elementary school buildings in Washington State, currently under restoration, UHCCA is a vital community center which serves as the heart of Seattle's University District neighborhood.

Our grand and historic facility not only supports an array of tenants who offer many diverse programs, classes and activities, but also serves as a venue of many other community activities and organizations.

By design, the types and kinds of programs and classes offered are constantly changing due to the varied and diverse type of clients served. Please contact or stop by the UHCCA office for current listings. (206) 527-4278.

Above all, the University Heights Center remains focused on the community, children, arts, education and continuing education within the University District and the Greater Seattle area.
